Shokado Version 2.01 Released

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Today I posted Version 2.01 of Shokado Web Sharing Tool For Bento, my PHP web application that lets you share your Bento database on your local network.

This new version provides support for Bento 2.0. Apparently, the folks at Filemaker re-wrote the whole thing, and so reverse-engineering their database was a major hassle. I’m still not quite finished, but it will do for now.

Please visit the Freeware page for more information and download.

Israel’s indiscriminate mass violence

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Well, they’re at it again. Israel is murdering hundreds of Palestinian civilians “in response” to mortar attacks from Gaza. They say they’re now in all-our war with Hamas. But it seems more likely that they’re just trying to exterminate the Palestinians. Remember the Holocaust, anyone?

Israel, and it’s supporters in the west (which is pretty much everyone except me) is once again perpetrating war crimes against innocent civilians.

Israel should immediately give back all the land it stole from the Arab countries in 1967. It should also commit to peace, and disclose full details of it’s nuclear weapons.

Only one US politician has the guts to speak out, good old Dennis Kucinich of Ohio.

According to The Hill, Kucinich likened the Israeli attacks on Gaza to its war with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon in 2006. In both cases, he said, civilian populations were attacked and “countless innocents” were killed or injured.

“All this was, and is, disproportionate, indiscriminate mass violence in violation of international law,” Kucinich said in a statement. “Israel is not exempt from international law and must be held accountable.”45332636-466-afp-dead-300x193.jpg

Person of the Year for 2008

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Time Magazine today named Barack Obama its “Person of the Year”, stating:

In one of the craziest elections in American history, he overcame a lack of experience, a funny name, two candidates who are political institutions and the racial divide to become the 44th President of the United States.

Congratulations, Barack!
